It seems like they are all the rage… Brass Urchins are everywhere! And why not? I think they are a very chic and timeless way to add a bit of glam and sophistication without feeling stuffy or over-the-top. A brass finish will never be tiresome to look at, and the simple clean lines of these modern-done urchins leave us all wanting more. I recently made a purchase at my local Target for some wall urchins. I didn’t like the patina they had on them, so I spray painted them in a gold-brass matte finish. I’ll be hanging them up soon and post pictures to share on the blog. Today I have some inspirational images for decorating with Urchins. Enjoy! (Select images for proper credits)

I think the chunky brass urchin in this console vignette adds the perfect amount of shimmer and interest, picking up the gold tones of the trunk below.
Urchins three ways here! I am intrigued by the fan idea,
and love the two urchins flanking either side of the nightstand.
Eclectic at its finest! A brass urchin chandelier against De Gournay Wallpaper!
Swoon!
This is a large scale urchin done right! It balances out the modern oversized artwork
while enhancing the golden tones of the chair legs and leopard upholstery.
