As some of you may know, I work part-time with skin care. Its almost winter and ladies lets face it, we all need to take care of our skin! One of my all time favorite ingredients for keeping skin, soft & supple and hydrated is, Rose. (its also great for any skin type)
Rose is a natural aphrodisiac, but it also has essential vitamins, reduces redness or skin irritation, soothes nerves and stress. Some ways you can use rose is through topical application of toners, making tea or soaking your feet in a bowl of luscious rose petals.
Here is a recipe to make your own homemade “Hydrating Rose-Infused Body Oil”
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh, organic rose petals
- 1 cup sweet almond oil (sesame or olive oils will also work)
- Wide-mouthed glass jar with lid
Directions
- Place rose petals in the jar and gently crush them to release their natural oils.
- Pour the oil over the petals.
- Put the lid on the jar and let it sit in a dark corner for a week.
- Strain the oil and apply to skin after bathing.
